Wow. What a day of ups and downs. Spent over two hours this morning organizing coupons and my shopping list. Then, when I finally went to town, I discovered that I had missed my physical therapy appt. (I thought it was at 1:45, but it was at 11:45). Then I got to the grocery and had forgotten my lists AND coupons at home. And that means an additional 45 minutes driving time PLUS gas for that. But then, I did really well at the store. I stuck to my lists, and spent $54.11 in Bi-Lo with a savings of $57.06 and in Harris Teeter spent $70.50 and saved $59.31. Not bad. Doing well with the grocery bill gives me great satisfaction!!!
This evening, I got a very depressing phone call from my daughter. It's very hard to know what to say to a very down teenager. I wonder what I didn't do right when she was younger, and how I can make her feel better without buying into her materialism. I do remember being 14 as some of the best and some of the worst times of my life. So I need to remember to give her the opportunities to be a normal teen. But I don't like it!!!!
Well off to cook dinner for another teenager, who will come home from evening band rehearsal tired and grumpy.
